Agreed. I was doing rotor replacement on my W124 and found the rears to be far more stubborn than the fronts to remove. Tapping with a ball peen hammer got the fronts off, but no matter how hard I hammered at the rears, they wouldn't budge.
The neighbor, upon hearing the clanking noises from my garage asked if I wanted to borrow his short-handle sledgehammer. It took one whack and the rotor flew right off!
