Stuck rotor
Still trying to get my parking brake working, so I figured I'd take the rotor off and take a look at the mechanism. The rotor is really stuck in place. I had hoped to reuse the rotor since it is still well within specs. Is there any secret to breaking one of these free other than taking a bigger hammer to it which may be my approach tomorrow. I've soaked what I can in Kroil and PB Blaster. Maybe tomorrow that stuff will have worked. Other ideas appreciated.
This is on the SL BTW.

Assuming you have all the parts off. I use a small sledge and a 2 x4 working on the front four corners then moving to the back four corners. They can be stubborn. I spare no mercy BUT when they are coming off they are getting replaced.

Agreed. I was doing rotor replacement on my W124 and found the rears to be far more stubborn than the fronts to remove. Tapping with a ball peen hammer got the fronts off, but no matter how hard I hammered at the rears, they wouldn't budge.
The neighbor, upon hearing the clanking noises from my garage asked if I wanted to borrow his short-handle sledgehammer. It took one whack and the rotor flew right off!

sometimes you just have to get a bigger hammer.

Second that. Use a sledgehammer. If you want to reuse the rotors, try to shield them with a block of wood, but in order to break them free you need a heavy, quick impulse of force.

The bigger hammer did the trick. I reused the rotor - don't think I did any damage to it - time will tell I guess.
Thanks for the suggestions.
