I have a 93 300CE and I have to agree that it's got quite a bit more snap than the regular motor. However, I seem to come on once I cross 3000 rpm and really pick up at 3500. But then again in Atlanta traffic it's hard to keep an eye on the tach and the road at the same time.

For the money if you like the 300 go for the 24 valve motor - just my $0.02.
