Everyone I talk to says the only advantage of the lincon's is that they're able to shoot aluminum from the factory (teflon lined hose) where the hobart/millers have to have teflon hose linings added after the fact....
i may be a little off on the prices if thats what you mean. every man to his own on the brand. im speaking from my experiance with miller vs lincoln. ive never messed with hobart, all i know is they are made by miller. we have a few miller machines at work and they are junk. me and two of the other mechanics own lincoln wire feeds and agree that they perform better. as for the flux core i agree, it sucks. i ran flux core in mine for 3 weeks and then i went argon. so much prettier weld. idk about the teflon liners. my buddy tried to use aluminum wire and it kept breaking. most of the time when aluminum is welded with a mig welder a spool gun is used.
