I have my 85 300D turbo in at the shop for a transplant transmission.

So I picked up a used donor from an 85 300D turbo at a salvage yard; I bought it to the shop and today the owner says there is a different connection on each for the speedo cable.

Mine is a cable connection & the donor has a sensor connection.

He said he could try to retrofit it, but not worth the risk.

So tomorrow AM I drive wayyyy back down to Miami to get an exchange that has the same connections for speedo.

I am bringing both in the trunk of my CD; so they are sure it matches up 100%.

Has anyone ever heard of 2 types of connections & why they are different?
