I'd like to put my '92 radio w/ CD changer in my '87. Will I need a code for the '92 radio once removed or is it like the '87 radio that simply needs to be connected to the car properly?

On the properly connected part: I believe that the radio is destroyed if not hooked to the security wire before being powered up, it seems that the security wire is a wire connecting two connectors together on the rear of the radio? Does this go to ground or to +12v? It doesn't show this in the FSM, and I'd hate to ruin a perfectly good radio/head unit.
