You can not reset until you initiate a ground signal back to the ECU AFTER you get a Single Flash verifying codes have been cleared.. Then you turn off key for 10 sec, On for 50 while adaptation resets and then start. And that just brings the ECU to Mean and then it will adapt and relearn to the new Maf and all other mapping as you drive.
That is why you want the tool to initiate the process. Just turning the key on/off and waiting 50 secs will not initiate the memory process. It has to be triggered with the push button on the tool. [ which is the grounding to start the reset].
This is the procedure:
After you have cleared the codes and get a Single Flash [ verifying codes have been erased/cleared], you then must hold down the button for 6 -8 secs and then continue as posted...
