Exclamation Disabling the Emergency Brake

Good afternoon! Time is of the essence for I deliver pizza in four hours and fourty minutes!

I am driving (well, not able to now!) a 1985 300 SD and when I pulled the emergency brake handle it broke and now my brake is stuck!

I have considered two options, but I am open to others. Is it possible to:
- Dismantle my dash and attach a cable of some sort so that if habit hits and I put on the brake again that I will be able to disengage it.
- Disconnect the emergency brake line.

Thank you for your time and suggestions!

She is a tank named New Blue (we also have an '83 300 SD named Old Blue since we have owned for 24 years!) and has almost 270,000 miles and one of most reliable vehicles at the pizza shop where I deliver! Good times!!!

Thank you!!!!
