I'll bet you have the same problem I did, motor seized and stuck! Remove it and lube your bearings really well a nd put it back in. there will be a slight amount of drag but only very slight because the motor brushes are making contact with the armature if operating correctly. This should stop you from blowing fuses other than having a shorted/closed circuit somewhere. If you can get the motor to turn after lubricating it, try connecting it directly to your battery and see if it turns. Hang onto it because if it does, it will start with a lot of torque and you don't want to drop it on the squirrel cage assembly and break it. If it runs fine and you are still blowing fuses, you have a shorted connection somewhere and it takes time to trace it down. hopefully being stuck is your problem! Good Luck!
