One day I was talking to a good friend of my favorite machinist who used to work at the mercedes dealership in the eighties and ninties. He said,,,"Oh, those v8s? Just push the gas pedal down halfway when starting otherwise they flood". So I started doing that and also avoided shutting off the car when it was hot when I went into a village pantry and such so that I never started very often when it was good and hot and had a chance to sit for a short while and heat soak.

The problem was about 80% solved and the solution cost nothing.

This is a problem since new I think.

Thanks for your input. I remember you saying this awhile back. And each time I attempt a "warm/hot" start, I do push the pedal down some. This does work.

I will keep all posted on any results that may improve my starting issue when I get the new injectors. With 235,000 miles on the origonal engine, for me, it's worth the attempt.

Could be a couple of weeks down the road, though. Holiday work schedule is demanding 14 hour work days. Happy 4th
