Passenger side mirrior replacement

The right hand mirror has been bugging me for years, with that “things are closer” crap so I finally changed to basic mirror glass. Took a while to get used to, a smaller picture but the correct distance let me maneuver better in traffic. The removal was straightforward. Turn the view down as far as it will go, this will open a small space at the top. Pry the mirror assembly out of the case at the outside top edge. It will pop off a mounting ball. Then slide the assembly out, away from the car. Leave the little drive piece in place on the drives if you can. Mine came out because I didn’t know what I was doing at the time.
Smash the old glass and lift out the pieces then scrape off the two-part tape residue.
Take the mirror retainer to you glass shop to be fitted with the new mirror. $25.00 .
The glass shop will mount the new glass for you with two-sided adhesive foam tape.
To reinstall slide the assembly into the plastic drive piece then snap onto the ball at the other end. Done.
The reflection at night will be a little brighter than you are used to but the mirror can be turned out a little
