I guess this all boils down to personal preference. My experience is going from the convex to a flat mirror isn't hard, but going from a flat mirror to a convex requires some getting used to. Some people get dizzy when they're not used to it and that's perfectly understandable. I noticed that when I still had the flat mirror I was constantly adjusting it since I could not get a good steady field of view (considering too that the w123's had quite some pitching when accelerating or braking, due to soft springs).
