Safest way is to push in the tabs from the bottom and pop it out.

Remove your ashtray
Remove the two screws under there
Remove the ashtray assembly, unplug the cig. lighter connector
Pull back on your console
Unhook all the wires and push in the tabs on the switch and pop it out.
