That has got to be the same one we saw from the ground when I lived in Picayune. It was a cold winter night with this great reddish mass glowing silently in the clear night sky.
You know who Nash Roberts is? For those who don't know, Nash is an ancient retired meteorologist whom they bring out of mothballs whenever they want people to take weather seriously. His brother, Ep, called us about the aurora and said we needed to go outside for a look at a rare phenomenon that far south.
