Engine cleaning, painting and metal polishing - Pics

About 3 weeks ago I began to do some work on our wagon. The initial plan was to replace the valve stem seals, valve springs and rebuild the turbo. Once apart and while waiting for various parts to show up, I decide our classy gal's ("Jackie-O") engine was looking a bit filthy. I began to cleanup the engine and bay. Not completed, but here are some pics.

Polished to chrome like appearance the valve cover, EGR, ALDA, throttle linkage and plates and wastegate. Painted exhaust parts and wire brushed turbo, intake injectors and injector lines.

Lot of work, but spread it out over time a couple of hours per day.

Our family loves her, she deserves it.
