Also...I once had a mechanic tell me to add around half a gallon of gasoline in the winter months to a full tank of diesel for easier starts..Anybody see any reason not to...In small amounts like .5 gl will it damage the IP?

I have the same issue when its cold, like under 32 F. Idle surges until fully warm.
I tried adjusting my rack damper bolt with no success. I'm interested to see if there are any other suggestions.
As far as adding RUG to the tank - I think the owners manual states up to 5% is OK. But dont quote me, hopefully someone else will confirm for me.
