Friend of mine "totaled" her prisitne 93 Volvo 940 turbo
This friend of mine has wreaked several Volvos admitaly, however the last one she wreaked is one that I one found her and know that it was very nice a 93 940 turbo in gold with 105k. She put small dent in the fender, broke the headlight, foglight and corner of hood also broke the grill I think. It sounds like there is 2000 in damage to the car and I guess it books at $4,000. I said, it's your car it does not have to have a savage title and it shoudn't for the amount of damgage that it suffored, demand what you want. She gave me the insurace company said this is all I can do line. Well fight it. I know I would. She said that they have not found any comps to her car to judge value either, so that said that means it's a hard car to find. Yeah, it's a given the 940 was the last use of the famous volvo red block. I basically told her she could net let the car car. I guess she borrowed money to buy the car three months ago, and the credit union is also stepping in and saying that they don't wan't to have money out on a salvage title car. There is no struture damage on the car though! My neighbor with a one year old foucus with a hard rear end hit had his econo box pos repaired so if a thorwaway car could be repared then whay not save this old Volvo 940 it is certainly more rare and it would be a hard car to repalce. I think she should just demand that the car be fixed, but does anyone have any other ideas on this? Thanks.
