I'd assume it would be different from car to car depending on how far out yours is, but mine was towards the drivers side so, Clockwise when looking at it from the front.

To make it do what - As in my original post, under most conditions, I was in 4th gear by 30 mph. The 1-2 shift happened at about 5mph even when pressing carpet and flooring it at 40 mph would not produce a kickdown to 3rd gear. I'd have to manualy hold gears or downshift. Adjusting the cable got rid of that. Now half throttle takes 1st to about 25 mph, 2nd to 35, 3rd to 50. And if I slow to 40 mph and resume speed, it will kick down to 3rd.
