On the harness at the battery area should be a small white plastic tag with a build date for the harness. Note: MB had all the new harnesses built by a different firm (begins with a D as I recall). The tag is a held on with a zip tie.

13 year old car with 198,000 miles - guess it had to have a replacement to last that long.
