I know what you mean. I can recall using wire to hold up parts of my exhaust system in my early days and keeping an ear open in case part of it came loose.
As a side note;U
nbelievably, my Father (separated from us by a divorce) was pissed off at me for buying my own car ($125 in 1968 dollars) by myself with my own money I had earned/saved!
Also, the guy in the other post knew how to fix it right and had the skill to do so and he did not
buy that knowledge/skill.
