When I was doing contracting work and when I do renos now, I try and alternate hands as much as I can, with plenty of stretching and breaks once in a while. Prevention goes a long way I think.
Trades work can be hell on the body, especially if you are doing the same thing - in the same manner - day in and day out. Takes a toll.
I think the bottom line is you need to find out what is causing the inflammation on that arm and try to reduce or eliminate that cause - either with braces, using the other arm or a different technique. Good luck!

Thanks. These days, I'm a small contractor, frequently a one-man band. I need to graduate to running a crew. I have the knowledge for it, it's just all the other crap that goes with it, paper work, taxes, health care, workman's comp, etc. What a maize.
Oh well . . . other people pull it off.
