After searching I see conflicting views.

1) Does the radiator need to be removed?

2) This job seems fairly easy--anyone with experience of this job care to comment? Any major snags I will hit along the way?

I am helping a neighbor who is retired and on a very limited income, so you could say it's pro bono... I just don't want to make anything worse for her.
