The belt on my 1997 E300D is noisy. It's not a belt slipping noise just a higher pitched chirpping type noise. The belt is new as is the tensioner shock. Warm or cold, A/C on or off, makes no difference. The belt feels like it is tensioned normally and all the pulleys appear to be turning in line just fine (no wobbling) ..... so what could it be?
