All I needed was 10mm and 13mm sockets and a ratchet with extensions. Also 10mm wrenches.

You should have only 1 belt to worry about and this belt falls into your hand when the bell housing for the fan is removed by hand wiggling it back and fourth.

Make sure you have a new gasket and use a bit of the blue silicone sealer for $1 in a one time use pouch @ your local auto parts store. Let it set up for about an hour before you start it the car after installation.

I also replaced her thermostat at the same time because I couldn't initially get the heater to work right after I changed the water pump. With the new Tstat, the heat hot warm quickly.

The '77 I worked on didn't have a tensioner for the water pump belt. I assume yours is similar?
