I just wanted to let anyone I can know that Ebay will screw you if they can.
I am in the process of arguing with them on this so it may turn out better but we shall see.
The story goes;
I got one of those emails they do every so often, where you can list a car for a $1 insertion fee. So, I have this truck to sell, and I'm thinking, cool, I'll do it for $1. I didn't know what the final fees would be but I knew they would be something. At any rate, now that it's over I looked into it and normally you would be charged a $40 insertion fee, and a $50 transaction fee, this is of course not including any extras such as a buy it now or a reserve, which I did not use. So to my great surprise I check my invoice and I was charged a whopping $109 transaction fee!!! So in summary they hook you in with the $1 fee and stick it to you with the jacked up trans fee.
I sent out quite a few emails to ebay and will let you know how this turns out but in the mean time I will tell every person I can not to use ebay for this blatant "sticking it to the little guy" tactic.
