Engine shock mounts usually do not need to be replaced unless they are broken.

If the mounts and engine shocks have not been touched in 12 years, replace the mounts, tranny included, engine shocks and the shock bushings.

$400 is a bit much, considering the cost of the parts. $45 total for engine mounts, $90 for shocks, $40 for shock bushings and $20 for a tranny mount. You only need a few tools to do this. So about $200 total for all parts. $200 seems a bit much for tool usage.

Pay your friend with a case of beer or a steak dinner. $25-40.
