Exclamation HELP! Valve Cover Nut/Bolt Stripped!

This was my maint. weekend. I did a diesel purge and fuel/oil filter change yesterday. Today I did a valve adjustment. Everything went fine, vlaves were slightly tight, and using the wrenches and tutorial from Dieselgiant, it was a breeze. Until it came time to put everything back together. I dropped one of the four nuts that hold the valve cover on. I went looking around in my engine, and found it. At least I thought I did. I used y retractable magnet and picked it up. It was the same size, and threaded on the first few turns by hand, so I put my socket on it, and made a few turns. Well, big mistake, it was threaded wrong, or was the wrong nut. It would not tighten down all the way, and when I start the engine now, smoke pours from that hole, and oil leaks out the manifold side of the gasket cause I can't tighten that nut down enough.

Now I can't get the nut off. When I go to turn it, the bolt, or post that is attached to the block spins with it. I can't start the vehicle, cause oil will spill everywhere.

Any suggestions ?
The is perfect timing, as I start a new job tomorrow....
Thanks,
Marty
