Yes, the plastic part of the connector disintegrated when I tried to take connector off. I soldered the wire directly on the terminal, with an add-on shrink tubing over it. Everything is in order now.
The down-side of this fix is I have to un-solder the wire if one day I decide to take the intake manifold off for some reason.
