lambda requires a special tool which costs at least $400.

The computer is being told to read rich mixture because you want a rich mixture when the engine is cold and as the motor warms up it becomes more lean. In your situation parts of the fuel injection system are telling the computer to stay in rich mode constantly.

If you have the 201 service disc there are bunch tests you can do isolate the problem. a place to start is check your temperature sensor and try to pull any fault codes
