It will be faster to remove the engine to do the job..

The oil pan must be removed
Cylinder head must be removed

There is no way to remove a piston in the car without the oil pan and head removed...

As the piston cannot be removed at the bottom unless the crankshaft is removed...One would not want to try that in the car

to remove the crankshaft would be a PITA to try and remove in the car
Trans removed..front cover..chain tensioner and cam gears..
