I was down there during January 1973...my grandparents lived in NOLA, and our family spent a few holidays at their home on occasion. Grandparents died a few months apart, nearly a year before Katrina hit. Haven't been back to NOLA since.
Lack of snow removal equipment kinda has a way of paralyzing the town, doesn't it?
