I am considering purchasing a Mercedes and I am stuck between a W208 (1999-2003) and W140 (1995-1999). I would like some insight into what I should expect as I have never owned a foreign car. Will the car be affordable to operate, reliable and just a general feel any experiences you have had with either type of these vehicles. I realize that these two models are totally different being that the W140 is the top of the line Mercedes, but I am curious to see if the W208 stands up to the reputation of the Mercedes brand as far as reliability and longevity?
