Hello all,

Great forum! My wife and I just bought a 84 300SD.

I have a diesel Toyota Land Cruiser so not new to slow yet bullet proof diesel engines. But this is our first Mercedes(I have a feeling it won't be our last).

The car has 190,000 miles, seems to run just fine after it gets warm.

I'm looking for any thoughts you all might have for where to start with minor general repair.

Also a couple of random questions:

Replacement seat options? Drivers seat is shot.
Any need for a tranny cooler on these cars?
Inter cooler for the turbo?
I would like to improve the ride a bit, kind of squishy. Will new shocks do wonders or should I budget for new springs as well?

Well that is enough for now.

Once again great forum, I am a member of one for my Toyota and it has saved me TONS of money and get great ideas there.
