The engine can barely rev to 5000 on it's own. The starter will be lucky to hit 500 rpm.

Are you asking about bleeding the injector lines? If so, no need to remove the glow plugs. This injection pump will self bleed with about a minute of cranking. Or crack the injector lines and tighten the ones that leak fuel as you crank.
