THe good folks at MercedesShop sell smaller quantities of the sunroof paste here. It is cheaper and less hassle than replacing broken sunroof parts due to dirt laden or gummed up grease.

There's a few good sunroof pictorials in the DIY section that show removing and reinstalling the assembly. The slide rails are the things that need to be cleaned and lubricated for the sunroof to slide. You 20+ year old teleflex cables could also use a good cleaning and some of that paste lube.
