you seem to know your stuff.

i acquired this cl500 from an autonation dealership. which acquired the franchise from a private owner.

then proceeded to drive off all the talented invididuals that i had known and worked with since that dealership opened in 1976[i think i was the first customer].

those talented individuals now work for another dealership. and i drove there today to visit with them about cpo requirements[as well as entrust another benz of mine to them for their very sophisticated alignment mechanism].

we discussed the items that their cpo inspection missed. the mirror was one, but we surmised that would have been a tough one to have identified unless the dealership had garage door mechanism[they didn't].

the aspect of this cpo cl500 that intrigued them was that the other m-b dealer missed the fact that the o.e. spec tires had been replaced by runflats. in their opinion, under the cpo program, that dealer owed me non-runflat tires.

that would please me since i hate run-flats.

what do you think?

all ears.
