Anyway, good luck with your repair, too! Don't US-Spec lights use the same (or a very similar) adjuster knob? I could swear my old W124 lights had a knob like that. Maybe there are subtle differences, though? I'll try to check, and if they are the same, you can have mine if I can get them out.

About those pesky DOT light adjusters... I really wouldn't know. On the '77, there are no adjusters left, just zip ties. It was a blast getting them aligned. I never bothered fixing them properly, because I always wanted to go the Euro route.

I suppose I could go look at the lights on the parts car. It seems to have had far fewer hill billy repairs in its life. I'll take a peek at it later today if I remember to pop the hood while I'm down at the shop switching out the winter tires on the wife's car.
