found out today only 3 bolts are holding my transmission on... question

Today while trying to track down an oil leak I noticed I was missing a few bell housing bolts... 5 of them are gone. The PO had the transmission rebuilt a couple years ago so I am assuming who ever did the work either just forgot them or they were not tightened properly and they fell out. The only bolts still there are the starter bolts and one on the other side of the bell housing kind of under the oil filter housing. I can easily get to the 3 lower bolts that are missing so that wont be a problem to replace. I am wondering about the top two bolts though. I can just barely get a finger in the hole to feel that the bolts are missing but I dont think there is any way I can actually get a wrench and hand back there to tighten replacements. Are there any tricks to doing this short of completely removing the engine/trans? I suppose I could cut a hole in the firewall behind the bolts but I assume that would require removing most of the dash (not in the mood for that). Any ideas?

this is a 300d W123, BTW
