I don't believe there is a current sense / shutoff, just the motor stalls and it doesn't go any further. Steel gears and not a lot of power.

The sunroof has a limit switch but not sure how it closes no matter if it is tipped or slid, ...

Not sure on the key-close feature, probably the same and considering the lower voltage with all five operating concurrently, probably less force to stop them. The key-open same.
