Better Performance without Ignition Resistor?
This is the first time I heard about running the 560SL without the ignition retard resistor. I understand why high octane would be mandatory due to the potential for spark knock due to timing advance.
Is this a mod that others have done with good, long term results? Any issue with the catalytic converter or the automatic timing sytem?
Why was it not set up this way from factory? Disadvantages?
