A plastic piece on the regulator breaks which allows the linkage to the window to rotate 180 degrees which causes the window to lower too far and not raise enough by approx. 2". Either buy a new regulator or you can remove the regulator, rotate the piece back into position by 180 degrees and drill 2 small holes (dremel tool) through each side of the broken plastic piece that used to locate the connection point in position and safety wire the connection point in position. My neighbor recently performed this nifty repair to his son's 300TE (used to be mine) and I believe it will work for quite some time. Mark
