I'm guessing sedan? 123? on yours I think you have to drop the transmission mostly out of the car to get at the cover plate. the 126 is SOOOOO much roomier! use lots of jackstands, and safety for sure! if you have to drop the trans a lot, be sure and disconnect the speedo cable first, you don't wanna break that plate!
I had to lift the front up about 24" and the rear at least 18" for a comfortable reach of everything.
