I solved my transmission gremlins with "tuning" information on the link at the bottom. Additionaly, one of the things that stopped eratic shifting on my 300d was replacing the vacuum bits, 5 or so on the vacuum valve on top of the camshaft cover. One of the ways some judge the wear is by how long it takes to go into reverse. A couple of seconds is normal, but much over 2 or 3 seconds on a warm engine is not good.
