That's true Jim, seems steep to me, but I've heard nothing but good things about both the Focus and the new Mini (I'd love a new Mini) in both US and UK magazines. The Focus is rallied very succesfully around the work on the WRC circuit, and is hot seller in the UK at least. The Focus, by all accounts is a much different car than you'd expect your typical escort to be. The fact that the car appeals to a euorpean driving public attests somewhat to it's performance and quality.


You're right though, pocket rockets in my book are small, fun to drive, cars, that also should be relatively low in price, but you consider the ever-rising base-sticker price of any car these days and maybe they're not as bad as you think....
