Thanks. Don't know when it was last flushed. 308,000. I added a quart of plain old Dexron. I hear you about the transmission shops, yikes. I'm the third owner of this car and have had it for a year. I got it from a good local MB guy. He had gone through it before selling it to me and it was owned by a doctor here and very well taken care of though I don't have most of the service records. It is in very nice shape. I had to replace the wiring harness after I got it but it has been great otherwise. The mechanic says that it being a quart low shouldn't have hurt it, and that he'd be glad to drop the pan and have a look but he thinks that if it is slipping like it is then it's toast. I am hesitant to go out and buy another transmission until I'm sure. I've had old Saabs that you's swear were dead but it was really just a fluid issue.
