Have had a chest freezer in our garage the nearly 6 years we have lived here. No problems with anything melting except for the time that the GFCI tripped, but I remedied with a standard outlet on its own breaker. Mine has a bunch of frost too from humidity in the summer, but otherwise it's great. I could never go back to just a single fridge.
