Hi!

I just joined this forum so please excuse any stupid mistakes I may make when posting anything.

I just bought a 1993 400e (our first Mercedes) for my wife and when I searched the internet for more info about the car, I came across this forum. I was very pleased to see the interest and help offered to others by the other members of this board. Nobody blows off others even if their questions seem trivial.

I guess I wanted to say the obvious: Mercedes makes a fantastic car!! I had never ridden in a Mercedes until 3 weeks ago when my brother-in-law came into town for a visit in his new car - a 1998 Mercedes (I didn't catch the model number.)
I always thought that Mercedes was an OK car, but over-rated. Boy, was I wrong!!! After going for a 5 minute drive in my brother-in-law's Mercedes, my whole attitude changed!! What a smooth, quiet ride and what awesome power and cornering!! I joked with my brother-in-law not to give my wife a ride because I was afraid she'd want one too.
As you already know, less then 3 weeks later, I bought my wife one. She just loves the car and it's almost impossible to pry the keys for the car out of her hand!!

Anyways, keep up the good work!!

P.S. - Does anybody else out there recall their first ride in a Mercedes? Was it as obvious to you that Mercedes makes a far superior product compared to most (if not all) north american
made cars?
