1. There is a plastic cover over the ECU behind the battery, yes. It really is just a sort of contorted sheet of black plastic. Only other thing is on the top edge there is a rubber edging that sort of helps hold it to the inner firewall (you'll see a mirror-image of this strip behind the brake master cylinder). There is nothing really on the bottom to help is except 2 curved sections molded into the plastic, which sort or rest in or behind the battery tray.

2. Possibly this is a looped strap to assist in pulling down the hatch. I can't remember it's exact location. If you have no assist strap I'd say that's what's missing. I thought it was held on with 2 screws, nothing very high tech about it.

3. IIRC it is a large steel washer (larger than the central hole in the rim, so quite wide), and the bolt that passes through it I though was just bent at an angle, so just an "L" shape end. Passed through this big washer, through the rim, and into that threaded hole. May have been some padding on the washer on the rim side. It was made in some fashion that the bolt and washer would stay together.

4. Yeah a goofy-looking lock sort of thing. Doesn't support the hood at all, just holds the headlight steady. Of you look through the hole in the radiator support, there is a sort of C-shaped protrusion in there which is part of the headlight shell. And something in the middle of the C section, looks maybe like a tube?
