The reason I am looking for an OVP relay is that my car does not have a tach amp. I was instructed to take a look at the OVP relay but I cannot locate it. Is it possible to not have a tach amp and OVP relay on a w123 1984 300TD?

Thanks.
I had the same problem with my 84 Ca. 300D. Tach not working. OVP is under right kickpanel. OVP has a red top. After pulling relay off base you'll see a red 10 amp fuse inside red cap, readially accessible. Hope yours is in the same place.
