The engine-brite is good for cleaning a clean engine, but I've had much better luck with Simple Green and other non-solvent based cleaners. There's some orange stuff the guys at Autozone tell me is as good as Simple Green, and you can buy Awesome at the dollar store, excellent cleaner/de-greaser. All of these are hard on alkalli metals so don't leave them on aluminum, rinse well.
